The trip actually began as the group left campus accompanied by Nick and Amanda. The ride to Logan was easy as pie and checking in went smoothly, too. Arlindo met the group just on the other side of security and everyone headed to find something to eat prior to boarding. While heading to Paris, a few decided to find something to watch on the monitors and a few attempted to sleep... to no avail. Getting off of the plane was easy but the next gate appeared to be miles away. Boarding the flight to Billund was again quite easy and was just a quick flight across but getting off of the plane was not as easy. A belonging or two was left behind on the plane (recovered easily enough) and some luggage remained in Paris or maybe flew to Tahiti and back (recovered on Sunday). Then after deplaning and getting on the charter bus, the group headed north to the "Sommerhus" for some long awaited food, showers and naps. Scott and Lise met the group as they arrived, had ice cream bars and then began the tour of the magnificent waterfront compound. While Scott toiled in the kitchen and made huge salads, warm bread and Lasagna, everyone unpacked and washed up for dinner. Just as things were coming together, the students all took it upon themselves to set up the dinner table in the front courtyard. After a great meal, it was time for a little R&R and bed to rest up for new adventures to come.
